- Location: Kargil District, Jammu & Kashmir (now Ladakh)
- Operation Name: Operation Vijay
- Reason: Pakistani soldiers and militants illegally occupied Indian territory along the Line of Control (LoC).
- Objective: Evict infiltrators and reclaim Indian posts in the Kargil sector.
